    अब लोग धीरे-धीरे समझ रहे हैं कि रासायनिक खेती से ज़मीन तो बेजान हो ही रही थी, साथ में हमारे खाने में भी धीरे-धीरे ज़हर घुल रहा था। ऐसे में ऑर्गेनिक खेती एक सुकून भरा, टिकाऊ और देसी रास्ता लग रहा है।

    फिर एक तरीका है “मिश्रित खेती” का मतलब एक ही खेत में अलग-अलग फसलें लगाना। जैसे सब्ज़ियों के साथ गेंदे का फूल कीड़े भी कन्फ्यूज़ हो जाते हैं और खेत भी सुंदर दिखता है। अगर एक फसल खराब हो जाए तो दूसरी बचा लेती है। खरपतवार हो या कीड़े कोई ज़हर नहीं डालते, या तो खुद निकाल देते हैं या मुर्गियों को छोड़ देते हैं चरने।

    और जो भी खाद या टॉनिक डालते हैं, वो सब घर की बनी चीज़ें होती हैं जैसे वर्मी कम्पोस्ट या पंचगव्य। महक थोड़ी झेलनी पड़ती है, पर पौधों को बड़ा मज़ा आता है।

    क्यों करें ये मेहनत? क्या फायदा है?

    ऑर्गेनिक खेती में फायदा ही फायदा है, बस थोड़ा धैर्य चाहिए। सबसे पहले तो प्रकृति को राहत मिलती है—नदी-नालों में केमिकल नहीं बहता, हवा साफ़ रहती है, और ज़मीन में जान बची रहती है। सूखे मौसम में भी पानी ज्यादा साफ और टिकाऊ रहता है।

    सच बताएं तो ऑर्गेनिक की राह फूलों से भरी नहीं है। शुरुआत के 2-3 साल फसल कम होती है, तो डर भी लगता है। फिर बाज़ार में ऐसे खरीदार ढूंढना जो सही दाम दे, वो भी एक टेंशन। और जो ऑर्गेनिक सर्टिफिकेशन का चक्कर है—भाईसाहब, कागज़, फीस, नियम… छोटा किसान तो थक ही जाए।

    फिर भी कुछ लोग मिसाल बन रहे हैं

    लेकिन उम्मीद की किरणें भी हैं। जैसे सिक्किम 2016 में पूरा राज्य ऑर्गेनिक बन गया! आज सब उन्हें खेती के रॉकस्टार की तरह मानते हैं। फिर Navdanya जैसे ग्रुप्स भी हैं जो 16 राज्यों में किसानों को नेचुरल खेती सिखा रहे हैं, और पुराने देसी बीज बचा रहे हैं। मतलब अगर मन से किया जाए, तो ऑर्गेनिक खेती से कमाल हो सकता है।
